Fiber, Protein, and Anti-Inflammatory Properties

You guessed it, another dessert inspired protein smoothie. Well, when you drink as many protein shakes as I do, you have to get creative.

Remember those cherry cordial candies, the ones your mom used to buy you on Valentines Day (or at least my mom did). This smoothie is inspired by them and I think it's pretty darn good. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

This high-fiber / high-protein smoothie is the perfect post workout treat. Not only does it have 20 grams of protein, but cherries also have anti-inflammatory properties. Research has shown cherries can aid in faster muscle recovery and prevent the symptoms of muscle damage.

Chocolate Cherry Cordial Protein Smoothie

1 Cup Frozen Pitted Organic Dark Cherries
1 Scoop Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
1 Tbs Organic Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 Cup Unsweetened Organic Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract

Blend and Enjoy.
